We’re an Innovate UK Approved Investor Partner focused on the Clean Energy and Net-Zero category.
We invest at pre-seed and seed stage in British technologies that make net zero possible in real homes and real communities. As part of the Innovate UK Investor Partnerships Programme, our investment can be used as the aligned private capital required for eligible Innovate UK grant applications.
Under this programme, Innovate UK provides grant funding to support R&D activity, while approved investors provide matched private investment. The grant typically covers a portion of eligible project costs, and the aligned investment must meet Innovate UK’s minimum thresholds. Start-ups still need to apply and be assessed independently for grant funding; approval is never automatic.
We focus on companies building technologies in:
- Home heating, heat pumps, thermal storage, smart heating and demand flexibility
- Home energy generation, batteries and vehicle-to-grid
- Retrofit materials, insulation and circular construction (domestic only)
- Community-scale energy, microgrids and distributed energy systems
- Other net-zero and domestic clean technologies that help UK households:
- reduce energy bills
- increase energy independence
- improve home energy performance
